Mark says, As Watsu is all about freeing the body in water, common conditions such as headache and migraine, sleep disorders and stress/anxiety and depression related disorders have all been found to respond well to the treatment. It also has been found to aid recovery from strains, sprains and fractures and result in a greater range of motion and reduced pain levels for neuromuscular disorders.
Watsu itself is based on gentle movement and acupressure in warm water. During the session the patients body is stretched, glided and gracefully turned and floated, bringing a deep and profound sense of relaxation.
If other peoples experience is any indication, on many different levels they are profoundly glad they experienced it.
Mark first became interested when he experienced for himself a Watsu treatment.
He started his training in 2002 and due to the uniqueness of the technique Marks quest for Watsu training has taken him all over the world, to such places as Switzerland, France and Italy, Brussels and America.
Watsu sessions are taking place on Saturdays at Kings Mill Hospital, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, UK.
